A random project I decided to make when I realized I had a lot of orange and red and had never made a fire-based design (That I remember off the top of my head). I was thinking of Phoenixes when I started but a friend (Who bought it within five minutes it my finishing it) declared it made him think of burning dragonscales. Ergo...

The base weave is Gridlock, with 'Half' of the Gridlock Byzantine made on just one side. The rings are too thick to've gone for a full gridlock byz, (18g 5/32"ID, Ergo a straight 3.1 AR) so I only did the one side, and hooked them with red rings to somewhat of a scale effect. The side effect is that those red rings now dangle as it shifts, giving it a constant movement... Like fire.
